The web page picture shows a clean looking shade - but in reality, that is not what you get. There is a frosted glass piece that sits on the bottom inside the shade, and I thought that was a great idea to hide the bulb, but it is visable creating a dark shadow rim on the shadge. Plus the shade has these clips that come up on 4 sides -so you see them through the shade! It looks terrible since it is right in the middle of the front. Plus, the one shade I pulled out had a black spot on the inside of the shade and it was visible on the outside as well. I generally love Kichler lights and have many in my house, but this was a huge disappointment. Besides the poor shade design and black spots - this would have been beautiful.
